- TriviaThe series' highest ever audience figure is 18 million, for Episode #1.1829 (1993) in which a plane crashed onto the village. The storyline also made an early soap crossover, when Channel 4's Brookside (1982) had newspaper headlines reporting on the disaster. (UK television supremo Phil Redmond worked on both shows.)
- GoofsWhen engaged to Luke McAllister, Tina Dingle tells him and his sister Jessica about her oldest brother Nathan's wedding. Nathan is never mentioned again, and Tina's father specifically references having three sons (and then four when he discovers his supposed nephew, Cain, is actually his son) - Ben, Francis (Butch) and Sam.

Emmerdale! Please respect women in narsistic relationship!
I love Emmerdale but I squirm and feel sick with every Tom creation and manipulation of Bell. You have no idea how your viewers (like me) have live and breathed the weeks of Toms behaviour. How all people around how they are angels and the model person. I've stopped watching the extensive narcissistic torture - because it is torture from Tom. Aggression, blame, shouting, making us feel the problem. Violence. And everything else. Please stop this. Please I'm not going to watch. Because I'm Belle. End it now we have watched too many episodes. Being a viewer that went through the same thing as Bell. We are surely done now. Save our sickness please.
