Inferior and run-of-the-mill French/Italian/Spanish Euro-spy film dealing with an undercover agent and his adventures , misfortunes , dangerous investigations and sexy romances . A secret organization called Perry wants to seize documents that contain the secret formula of a latent gas that was already used in Venezuela at the beginning of the film. The documents about a nerve gas could threaten world peace and for the French national defense, therefore an agent is sent to take them. Special agent Becker (Rod Carter) is after a briefcase that rather cleverly disguises some secret document and one million dollars in diamonds , that's why some women (Jany Clair , Louise Carletti , Christa Lang , Sonia Bruno , Janine Reynaud, Yvonne Monlaur ) want to rob it . But then the bearer of the suitcase is murdered and then the question is to guess who is the murderer and who has taken over the important documents and the valuable diamonds .
Typical spy movie although mostly set on a cruise with a few girls who want to seize a briefcase containing documents that could alter world peace , its essentially a story of a murder on the cruise ship and to find out who has taken the documents and diamonds . A lousy rendition about European spy subgenre , an usual genre during the sixties , not taking any situation seriously and with short budget which doesn't allow director to mount spectacular set pieces , the reason for its mediocrity , along with other cash-strapped companions at the era .There are some action scenes through ship aboard and other relevant scenes taking place in cabins and machine rooms, adding sympathetic cat-fights among the beautiful girls . Stars the mediocre and unknown Rod Carter who isn't Ronald Carey , the latter starred various Euro-spy and Peplum movies . But Rod Carter is an obscure actor who gives functional and with no interest acting . It is usual in this kind of co-productions to share actors, technicians and filming in different European cities showing sightseeing, monuments, buildings of the main European cities. So here there are French actors : Michel Lemoine , Jany Clair , Janine Reynaud , Christa Lang , Yvonne Monlaur ; Spanish actors like Sonia Bruno, Angel del Pozo, Manuel Zarzo, Rufino Inglés and Italians like Saro Urzi, Nello Pazzafini . The use of strange artifacts and gimmicks was also frequent, many of them used to liquidate contenders, here a photo camera is used with a device that shoots small arrows to kill enemies.
It contains an atmospheric and usually heavy musical jazzy score by Michel Magne composed of saxophonic melodies accompanying the action. As well as atmospheric cinematography by Pierre Petit , shot on various locations in Caracas, Venezuela, Guadeloupe, Départements d'Outre-Mer, France , Le Havre, Seine-Maritime, France, and Vigo, Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain The motion picture was lousily directed Raoul André(1916-1992) with a lot of flaws , failures and gaps . Raoul made other average thrillers and Eurospy movies , such as : Jeff Gordon, Secret Agent , FBI-Agent Sex.. Sex.. Sex , F. B. I. Agente implacabile , La planque , Le grand bidule , some of them starred by Eddie Constantine . Rating : 3.5/10 .
