- TriviaAlthough shot in academy 1.37:1 aspect ratio (for later television airing) the theatrical -- or *intended* (by the studio, producer, director and/or cinematographer) -- aspect ratio of this film is 1.85:1 widescreen. Most modern 16x9 (1.77:1) televisions have a "zoom to width" picture option, essentially allowing the viewer to see the film as the director and cinematographer originally planned. It is easy to spot films shot this way since all the titles and credits will still fit when properly cropped (they stay in the "middle" of the frame vertically), and there is an unusual amount of "headroom" above the actors in medium and close-up shots when viewed uncropped. Quite often "mistakes" -- like seeing equipment in the top or bottom of the uncropped frame -- would never have been seen by a theater audience.
- GoofsAt 5:03, Ellie calls Sam by name. He never told her his name and there is no indication that she learned his name otherwise.
- Quotes
Sam Morgan: Is that the only reason you came up here Friday night, for the money?
Ellie: If that bothers you, you can walk out of here right now.
[Sam smirks]
Ellie: Don't look at me like that. Just because they hanged a man who didn't deserve hanging, and it... it hit you in the face like a dish of cold spaghetti, don't expect me to fall apart because of it. Get this straight, Sam: I'm the lovely lady from Playgirl's Paradise. It's a two-bit gyp joint right down on Delgado Street, right off skid row...
[Sam laughs]
Ellie: What's so funny?
Sam Morgan: Your going into that big line, that's what's so funny.

It's Competent, somewhat Dramatic, but Stiff as a Board, and You May be too, Unless You're Not Looking for Anything Resembling a Film-Noir or a Pounding Suspenser.
