A brash talent agent tries to talk best selling author Liza Hammond into a speaking tour in spite of the author's paralyzing fear of public speaking. The author lives with her mother and twin daughters who encourage the author go on tour but their words fall on deaf ears when the author loses her voice.

Liza returns from a book tour to find her home in turmoil.
