- TriviaThe script had been around for years at MGM. It was originally going to be a movie for William Powell and Myrna Loy. A couple of years later it was planned for Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. However, both projects fell through and the script was forgotten about. Years later Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz showed interest in making another movie and they picked this script.
- Goofs(at around 1 min) Desi Arnaz comes home from work and pauses by a table and lamp to clandestinely listen to his wife and a couple invited to dinner before announcing that he is home. A few minutes later, a front shot of Desi reveals an open, wrought iron partition with a clear view of the front door and table that he was standing by, indicating his presence would have been evident from the moment he entered the house.
- Quotes
Lorenzo Xavier Vega: It's a beautiful world, Susan. And someday they'll be no hunger and no struggle. Men will have time to understand each other. This thing is going to come, all right. The question is how soon? For twenty years or must it be a thousand? Never was danger in the world as great as it is today; but, never was paradise so near.
Susan Vega: You know something, Larry? You ought to be President of the United States!
