Enjoyable family drama with elements of Noir Film well directed by Julio Coll .It deals with a group of delinquents formed by Gérard Tichy as Jorge , Arturo Fernández, Carlos Otero who carry out a robbing : 100,000 pesetas.But a security guard is killed and Jorge escapes with the loot. As Jorge returns to his origin Village , where he meets his brothers , Miguel Fleta and Mario Beut, but also he sees her old girlfriend,Margarita Andrey , with whom he had an unknown child. Things go wrong when the former group of outlaws reappear to retrieve the robbed loot.
Good drama that packs intrigue, thrills , suspense , a hard relationship among brothers and a love story .Besides,there are thought provoking and interesting issues as redemption, integration and pardon, all of them under a Catholic sight point. This is an enjoyable Spanish melodrama made in Cataluña with a nice cast and giving agreeable interpretations. Stars Gérard Tichy who was a Nazi officer who escaped from an Allied concentration camp and fleed to Spain where played a lot of films as main as support roles, usually as baddie. Gerard plays plays a good man involved in a heist Secondary cast is pretty good, such as Carlos Otero , Miguel Fleta , Isabel De Pomes , Jorge Martin , Cesar Ojinaga and film debut for the incombustible Arturo Fernández .
Atmospheric cinematography in Black and White by Salvador Torres shot on location in La Gleva and Vich and othe Cataluña places . Evocative and adequate musical score by Xavier Montsalvatge. Competently produced by the prolific producer and also filmmaker Alfonso Balcazar . The motion picture was well directed by Julio Coll at his best, being his film debut.He wrote and directed movies of all kinds of genres until his death at 73 years old , such as Distrito quinto, La carcel de cristal, Un vaso de Whisky , El traje de oro , Los muertos no perdonan , La cuarta ventana , Los cuervos , Fuego, Jandro, Persecución hasta Valencia ,El mejor Del mundo and La Araucana. In addition , he directed TV episodes from popular series as Crónicas de un pueblo and La Familia Colon . His best flick was Los Cuervos . Rating : Above average , well worth seeing .
