The title is a riff on the pro-communist Italian expression 'Ha da venì Baffone' which was popular at the time the movie was made and loosely translates as 'Mustached Man must come' (Baffone or Mustached Man was an Italian nickname for Stalin at the time) meaning 'communism must come and save postwar Italy.' In accordance, the title of the movie loosely translates as 'Don Calogero must come and save the day.'
