This program alternated in CBS's Tuesday 8pm to 9pm time slot with the show Sure As Fate (1950). This program was sponsored by the Prudential Insurance Company of America, hence the program title.
The series suffered from a lack of an audience. It gained the rights to adapt several theatrical plays, but on the condition that the episodes would not be recorded on kinescope and further distributed. Broadcasts were only available in 12 cities across the United States, and the series competed with the highly-rated "Texaco Star Theater".
