      One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since. Its earliest documented telecast took place in Seattle Thursday 13 November 1958 on KIRO (Channel 7), followed by New York City Saturday 31 January 1959 on WCBS (Channel 2). The next two years, it slowly made its way around the country.     Only Benny Could Save This Film - Love Thy Neighbor

    This is one of the lesser efforts of the Pre-TV Show Jack Benny episodes that passed for B movies in the 1940s. This is the fault of the very poor screenplay/script that was created during one of the lunch hours on the studio lot. It is trite and silly. Make sure you see this Benny film AFTER exhausting all the other ones by the entertaining star.
