The flags shown at the beginning of Chapter 1 are incorrect for the time. The Texas Confederacy flag with seven stars shown, this flag was used from 1861 to 1865. According to the movie it is 1870. The thirty-eight star U.S. flag shown was used from 1877 to 1890.
During the stagecoach race Cherokee is shown holding a whip and not holding a whip.
