"Lux Radio Theater" broadcast a 60 minute radio adaptation of the movie on
March 5, 1945 with Akim Tamiroff reprising his film role.
Lamour's raised-in-China character is named Hilton. Presumably this is a hat-tip to James Hilton, whose own set-in-China novel, "Lost Horizon," had been filmed two years earlier.

Apparently because of contractual commitments Dorothy Lamour receives top billing, even though John Howard, with far more screen time and the one around whom the entire story revolves, is relegated to third billing, even though he had been a leading man at Paramount for the past four years and was simultaneously starring in Paramount's Bulldog Drummond series at the same time this one was filmed.
