Lamour and the Chinese actors variously speak Cantonese and Mandarin, but have no trouble understanding each other. (Though in fairness, this inattention to differences in foreign cultures was quite common back then.)
Dr. Forster (Akim Tamiroff) may be a world renowned physician but when he's performing the operation before his students he fails to properly wear his surgical mask! His nose also needs to be covered.
