      Was remade later in color as Tick Tuck Tuckered with Daffy Duck instead of Gabby Goat, working for an airline, and the alarm clock being shot instead of hit with a mallet.
    • Goofs
      When Porky and Gabby clock in at 10:15, there are no cards in the 'Out' section for them to punch in, and, in fact, Porky merely pulls the clock handle down (and Gabby tries to pull it down) without inserting a time card. If their time cards had been in the 'Out' section, where they should have been, management would have instantly known that they were late, so being caught sneaking in late would have been irrelevant.

    • Alternate versions
      This cartoon was colorized in 1968 by having every other frame traced over onto a cel. Each redrawn cel was painted in color and then photographed over a colored reproduction of each original background. Needless to say, the animation quality dropped considerably from the original version with this method. The cartoon was colorized again in 1992, this time with a computer adding color to a new print of the original black and white cartoon. This preserved the quality of the original animation.

    Hilarious

    This a hilarious Looney Tune. Unlike most early Porky Pig cartoons, this one was actually funny which something of a surprise. It was somewhat refreshing in a way. Some of the stuff they did here would become classic gags in later shorts. Really good.
