Opened in 1932, the CEA Studios were created on the initiative of well-known Spanish writers such as Jacinto Benavente, the Quintero brothers (Serafín Álvarez Quintero and Joaquín Álvarez Quintero), Carlos Arniches and Pedro Muñoz Seca with the financial back-up of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce.
They were located in the Ciudad Lineal district of Madrid and consisted of six sound stages equipped with the latest Tobis-Klangfilm sound equipment.
