Mumbai, Dec 12 (Ians) Singer-songwriter Guru Randhawa, who is known for ‘Lahore’, ‘Suit Suit’, ‘Ishare Tere’ and ‘Morni Banke’, released his new single album ‘G Thing’ on Tuesday.

The album features Guru collaborating with artistes such as Bohemia, Shehnaaz Gill, Sukh-e, and Arjun.

The album has nine tracks including ‘Deja Vu’, ‘All Right’, ‘Love Prayer’, ‘G Class’, ‘Chill Mode’, ‘Da One’, ‘No News’, ‘Stuck on U’ and ‘Sunrise’.

By infusing traditional Punjabi folk melodies, instruments, and vocal styles into his pop compositions, Guru pays homage to his roots while pushing the boundaries of musical innovation.

Tracks like ‘G Class’ and ‘Chill Mode’ resonate with the vibrant and rhythmic essence of Punjabi folk, creating a sonic experience that is both culturally rich and universally accessible.

The album has been released under the label of T-Series.

Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time Tour has ended for the year, but fans will have a chance to see him again because new dates have been added to continue the tour in 2024.

“Been one of the best years for me and my music so we’re gonna run it back… same tour name, staying on this album and many more cities to visit,” Wallen wrote in his announcement.

Beginning in April, the 30-year-old country singer will go back on stage for the One Night At A Time tour in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is scheduled to perform his final show for the tour on August 9 in Las Vegas.

Throughout his tour, Wallen will also be joined by Bailey Zimmerman, Nate Smith, Lauren Watkins and Ernest, among others.

Dogstar, the rekindled rock trio featuring actor-bassist Keanu Reeves, are back with their first album in over 20 years, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees. Stream it via Apple Music or Spotify below.

Tony Iommi made a surprise appearance during the premiere performance of a new Black Sabbath ballet Saturday night (September 23rd) at The Hippodrome Theatre in the band’s hometown of Birmingham, United Kingdom.

The ballet was commissioned by Birmingham Royal Ballet’s director Carlos Acosta and Ballet Now, and features eight re-orchestrated renditions of iconic Black Sabbath songs, as well as new compositions inspired by the heavy metal pioneers.

Iommi had been present for some of rehearsals for the ballet and made his cameo during the final number, playing guitar on “Paranoid.” The guitarist then took a bow with the cast and crew at the conclusion of the performance.

During his live performances, he has been joined by fellow country musicians like Chayce Beckham and Ashley Cooke. Bryan has long used his tours to highlight rising artists. Several have become big names themselves, including Morgan Wallen and Little Big Town.

Sydney, Aug 24 (Ians) Australia’s Test skipper Pat Cummins believes that the after-effect of the stumping of England wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow effected by Alex Carey during the Lord’s Test in the 2023 Ashes series made him like the fact that a lot of people got involved with the sport.

On day five’s play in the second Ashes Test at Lord’s, Bairstow was on 10 in the 52nd over when he ducked under a bouncer from Cameron Green and inadvertently walked out of his crease.

The 26th San Francisco Silent Film Festival was another joyous gathering of silent cinema fans, historians, scholars, and all stripes of movie buffs. Launched in 1995, the festival has grown from a single-day event to—excluding two years of Covid shutdowns—an annual, five-day celebration. It’s about the movies, of course, and this year Sfsff presented 20 features and seven shorts. But it’s also about the silent movie experience. All shows were accompanied by live music, from solo piano to small combos to a 10-piece mini-orchestra for the closing-night event, playing both archival music and original scores, many composed for the screenings.

Allan Dwan’s The Iron Mask, from 1929, opened the festival with a bittersweet farewell to the silents. The film, the swashbuckling final silent feature to star Douglas Fairbanks, has added resonance for Sfsff audiences because of the legacy of the Castro Theatre, the festival’s home for its entire 26 years.
