She was born in Viareggio (Tuscany, Italy) on June 5th, 1946. She won a beauty contest when she was just 15 years old, which led to her first role in "Il federale" together with the great Italian actor Ugo Tognazzi. She was then cast by Germi for the Italian comedy "Divorzio all'Italiana", working with Marcello Mastroianni, but she became well known a few years later performing in the movie "Sedotta e abbandonata". At 16 she had a relationship with the Italian musician Gino Paoli and in 1964 she gave birth to her first daughter Amanda. In the 70s she worked with directors Bernardo Bertolucci, Ettore Scola, Comencini and acted with Vittorio Gassman, Dustin Hoffman (Alfredo, Alfredo), Robert De Niro and Gerard Depardieu (Novecento). In the 80s she performed her sexiest role in "La chiave" by Tinto Brass, which made her an erotic icon for a whole generation of men, and participated in important Italian movies (for example Speriamo che sia femmina, with Catherine Deneuve and Liv Ullman). In the 90s she especially worked for tv series and became very popular as Gigi Proietti's fiancée in "Il Maresciallo Rocca". She worked a little less for the cinema industry, nevertheless she participated in Bertolucci's "Io ballo da sola" and in Muccino's "L'ultimo bacio", where she portrayed a woman in the deep of a midlife crises. On September 10th 2005 she received the Golden Lion at the 62th Venice Film Festival for her life achievements.

Barbara Cupisti began her career as leading actress in Italian and French films and television serials. For twenty years, she worked with prominent directors, including Tinto Brass, Dario Argento, Norman Jewison, Paul Planchon, Antonio Pedro Vasconcelos, Jhon Lofve, Gabriele Salvatores, and Carlo Verdone. In 2002, she appeared in her final film, the French production Total Kheops with Marie Trintignant and Richard Boheringer.
In 1998, Barbara made her debut as host on Italian state television (RAI) with a live-broadcast program featuring correspondents and guests around the world. Since then, she has continued to develop, produce, and host television programs for RAI as well as private broadcast networks, including launching a new music channel in Italy (Music Box) and serving on a commission for creative development within RAI 1.
In addition to her work in television, Barbara has emerged as one of the most gifted documentary film directors of her generation with her breakthrough film, Madri, (2007), which explored the reality of life in the Occupied Territories through a series of conversations with both Israeli and Palestinian mothers who have lost their children to conflict. Madri was in competition at the "Orizzonti" section of the Venice Film Festival in 2007 and was awarded the "David Donatello Prize" as the Best Italian Documentary Feature of 2008.
Since 2008, she has completed nine documentaries focused on human rights issues, many earning patronage from UNICEF, UNHCR, and Amnesty International and awards at international film festivals. Most notably, her film Fratelli Sorelle, filmed inside Italian prisons, won the Ilaria Alpi Prize in 2012, the nation's most prestigious award for journalism. In 2008, Barbara served on the international jury at the Venice Film Festival. Lucia Bellini A.K.A. "Lu" was born and raised in Viareggio, Italy. She first walked on the stage as a ballet dancer at the age of 5. Soon enough she realized there was more driving her heart than just dancing, and she took on the craft of Acting. Born in Viareggio 10th June 1933, Ansaldo Giannarelli graduated in law with a thesis entitled "The public administration of the film industry". From 1953 to 1954 he was assistant to the director M. Monicelli and in 1963 participated in C. Zavattini's collective film I misteri di Roma. Born in Viareggio son of art criticism and feminist Carla Lonzi. He lived in Milan until 1973. Battista Lena started his guitar and musical studies at an early age with teachers like John Ackermann and Eddy Palermo, then Barney Kessel, Attila Zoller e Gary Burton. He began in 1985 his collaboration with Italian drummer Roberto Gatto, and a few years later with trumpet player Enrico Rava and then Palle Danielsson e Jon Christensen, Daniel and Richard Galliano. In 1997 he directed the project "Banda Sonora" with the Banda B.Somma of Chianciano Terme and Enrico Rava, Gabriele Mirabassi, Gianni Coscia, Enzo Pietropaoli, Marcello Di Leonardo, recording for the French label Label Bleu and winning many European awards (Choc de Musique, Teleramà) in addition to the Unesco Prize for the movie "La strana storia di Banda Sonora" directed by Francesca Archibugi and presented at the 54th Mostra del Cinema di Venezia. He also composed and interpreted other works such as "Mille Corde" with Paolo Fresu, Gabriele Mirabassi, Gianni Coscia, Enzo Pietropaoli, Marcello Di Leonardo and the "Orchestra a Plettro Senese" presented at Umbria Jazz Festival in 2000. Another relevant production of his is the double cd "I Cosmonauti Russi", featuring among the others Laura Betti, Gian Maria Testa, Enrico Rava, Rokia Traoré, Arthur H, Gabriele Mirabassi, Luciano Biondini, Enzo Pietropaoli e Roberto Gatto and a 20 pieces Wind orchestra, presented in 2002 at the Regio Teatro di Torino and published by Label Blue. In 2008 the Koln Wdr Big Band (German Radio Big Band that worked with Quincy Jones, Gary Burton, Vince Mendoza etc.) recorded a tribute to his music. He has intensively worked on theater and cinema, writing and performing filmscores for some of the major contemporary Italian Movie directors such as Francesca Archibugi, Paolo Virzì, Alex de la Iglesia, Claudio Bigagli and Giuseppe Piccioni.
