House of Wrathiticus is a short film Directed by Douglas Godino and featuring Kyle Rappaport and Marc Chindemi. Carl is a Creature effects artist that makes masks for movies, he one day finds a book reads the lines and brings one of his masks to life...and it craves blood!
The plot of this short film is a fun one right out of Evil Dead. I really like the idea of having a monster mask come to life and though it has been used in the past it is not often and not quite like it is here. Like the other short films done by Doug and Kyle this gets right to the point very quickly and leaves a mark that even years later I still enjoy and remember.
The acting in this film is...ok. This is a microbudget short film done by several teens and for that the acting is quite good. Kyle Doug and Mark work well together and their chemistry holds as it does with many other projects.
The Special effects blew me away when I first saw this. Of course I've seen better special effects before, but in a film of this size and budget? It is far above most others of its type. I give nothing but praise to the work and creation of these monsters.
House of Wrathiticus was well worth the watch. It is quick and easy to catch on to and is well worth your 25 minutes if you like microbudget pictures at all.
