It was decent...

Warning: Spoilers
This was actually a fairly decent found footage film. It takes the same formula of the V/H/S series as in having a central wraparound short broken up between the other segments. It does have some shoddy acting and laughable CGI at times but is still a fun watch. Footage 1 is the wraparound segment. Unlike the V/H/S movies this doesn't tie all the other segments together. The only thing I can think of is that the woman in this short finds a bag with some SD cards and a camera, perhaps it's the other films. It does have some creepy imagery but the woman is stupid. If you are in the woods being chased by witches don't go screaming at organs hanging in the trees. Then at times she didn't seem scared enough it's as if the actress couldn't make up her mind how she wanted to portray the character. I just know if I were being chased by a naked person in the woods wearing an animal mask... I'd be terrified. Overall this segment was just meh. Footage 2 was awkward but had a decent build up to a disappointing reveal. The dialogue was very awkward at times. Like when the mother was just casually telling her daughter a deceased relative was back for revenge and the nonchalant reaction from the daughter. The buildup was pretty suspenseful to me, although this could have been due to me watching the movie alone at 2am. The reveal however was bad. Just terrible CGI. With better acting and better CGI this would've been a great short. Footage 3 was the worst of the anthology. The acting was horrendous, they had a music score over a FOUND FOOTAGE FILM and CGI BLOOD! Ugh I hate CGI blood. And what was with this "movie" they were making? Camp Chief Jason? It was terrible. They go to a crime scene site in the middle of the woods to film their atrocious "movie" and surpise they find a dead body. Apparently Logan Paul is their hero because they film the dead body, choose to use the footage in their movie and one steals a ring from it. Now the kid who took the ring has gone all Lord of the Rings with his "precious" and is acting weird. Then a demon looking thing shows up and starts killing them. It was dumb and should've been cut from the film. Footage 4 is where the segments start getting better and I won't say too much about these. This one is about a trio of college students who want to interview prostitutes for their thesis and things go awry. I honestly liked this one a lot. To me it had more of the better acting especially from the college trio. It is still a little iffy but pretty good. Footage 5 was really different, in a good way. Its about a man who is trying to bring back his wife's soul, who is in a coma. I saw someone say they didn't like this one but I think it might've been my favorite. I would actually like to see this one with a bigger budget and as a feature length. Footage 6 was pretty good despite some iffy acting and a terrible CGI bear. It's about a couple who go to Oregon in search of Bigfoot for their YouTube channel and find more than they wanted. I think I liked this one so much because I was expecting an obvious man in a bigfoot suit but got a grizzly bear instead. The bear is at times terrible CGI but I'll overlook that just because NO BIGFOOT! I was genuinely shocked by that. Honestly this one was perhaps the scariest because it can actually happen... well sort of. I saw another reviewer say there are no Grizzlies in Oregon and there are not... Elswehere though this could happen so be safe when hiking/camping. This movie is worth a watch for found footage fans but you can probably skip footage 3, not worth your time.
