Texas Rein is a family oriented Christian film about a young single mom who comes home to Texas to tend to her ailing father Don Hartman. In tow of course is her young son. She ran away with someone who left when she broke the news of her pregnancy to him and he's not been in the picture for years.
Beth Gouthro is the daughter and she gets kind of trapped into riding dad's prize quarter horse in the national Show Horse qualifying rounds. It was her passion before passion took her over. Of course having hunky trainer cowboy Greg Perrow around as a romantic interest doesn't hurt either.
The acting isn't quite up to snuff, but I've seen worse from the Christian circuit. The film should be suitable for church audiences.
