Not only illegal but unpatriotic
8 January 2015
This entry in Monogram's The Rangebusters series finds Dennis Moore, Ray Corrigan, and Max Terhune working for the Cattleman's Association in the modern day west of the World War II years. This was a time when rustling was not just a crime but unpatriotic as these rustlers are working with black marketeers to supply illegal beef.

Ray Corrigan has to spend a little time in stir when he's accused of murdering someone, but he turns it to his advantage. Glenn Strange owner of the local saloon and George Chesebro veteran western heavy are the villains here.

Even rounding up cattle thieves is a patriotic act to help win the war against Mr. Hitler. A little history lesson is probably needed for some viewers who don't understand wartime rationing. B western fans will like it any old way.
