not good! the book was totally neglected... only two characters have been chosen well, those who played georgeta and stanica ratiu. the most important characters, felix and otilia (the title is evidently about these two 'people'), are awfully played by unskilled actors....maybe because of the lack of experience young actors use to have at that time. mos costache is againg very important and detailed described in the book, and, to make it worse for the movie, i found it extremely hard to even understand what the actor who played him was saying!!! i am amazed that the original script of this film-the book- was entirely mocked. i wish the directing was better too. i left a bitter taste in my mouth.
