Ankit Anand is an Indian Filmmaker based in Zurich, Switzerland. He started directing in Mumbai, where he also did a course on screenwriting at Whistling Woods International Institute of Films, Communication, and Visual Arts. Ankit was taught by prominent Indian screenwriters like Anjum Rajabali and Juhi Chaturvedi. His short films SRIJAMYAHAM, SPEECHLESS and STRUGGLE OF SPIRIT have been screened and awarded at various international film festivals. Mr. Anand's movies represent an alternative view of different factions of society. He moved to the Netherlands for his studies, where he was involved in a Dutch independent film GOED, MET JOU. Later he migrated to Zurich to complete his master's degree in physics at ETH. In 2018, Mr. Anand co-founded the film production house Falling Frames Production, in Zurich. The company focuses on increasing international collaboration and private investments in Swiss movies by producing more internationally oriented movies. Furthermore, the non-profit wing of the company is aiming to develop a community of artists to produce films through a collaboration. Within its first year of operation, the company has already collaborated with filmmakers across the globe with a special focus on Europe, India, Iran, and China. Upcoming Indo-Swiss feature film OMAYA is an example of such production. Crew members of the film OMAYA consist of technicians and artists across the globe with a diverse cultural background. Mr. Anand has co-written the film and is the Creative Director of the film.
