Kafka Hibino may not be your typical shonen hero, but that doesn't mean he doesn't need any less of a talented person to bring him to life! Kafka's voice actor Masaya Fukunishi recently arrived in Los Angeles for Anime Expo 2024 to talk about the latest Kaiju No. 8 anime series, letting fans in on the inside scoop of the latest Shonen Jump+ anime adaptation. Crunchyroll News had a chance to sit down with Fukunishi at the con to talk about how he got the lead role, how he "surfs" between the series' light and dark moments, and how staying in tune with the fans' creativity helps bring that back into his performance. Is this your first time in America or Los Angeles? If it is, is there anything you want to experience while you’re here? Fukunishi : I’m really excited now. It’s my first time in the States.
