Scotty McCoy was born on December 6, 1989 in a small town known as Ashland, Pennsylvania. He got his start in the entertainment industry as a published author. He then become a host and producer for Scotty's Culture Shock with Trash TV Streaming. He then used that as a launch pad to create his own production company known as Gravestone Films. With Gravestone Films, Scotty has produced films such as Samhain, Friday the 13th: Dead Before Dusk, and 72.
Scotty is an influential part of the indie horror community, starring in such films like Frosty's Revenge: Seasons Bleeding 3, Heavy Duty Man, and Always Check. He hosts a podcasts titled Slasher Scotty where he interviews various celebrity guests, as well as a YouTube channel where he creates original video content, such as The Body Count, Rankings, Top 10, and Slasher Scotty News.
