Born in 1985, Giuseppe Bonifati is an actor, playwright, poet, producer, and director. He studied acting at the Civic School of Dramatic Art "Paolo Grassi," the National Academy of Dramatic Arts "Silvio D'Amico," and the International Theatre Workshops of the Venice Biennale. From 2010 to 2020, he was a director in residence at the renowned Odin Teatret in Denmark.
His accolades include the Crystal Microphone "Umberto Benedetto" award from RAI in 2006, recognizing new voices for radio, and the 2011 National Dramaturgy Award "Alessandro Fersen." Since 2010, he has served as the artistic director of DOO - Divano Occidentale Orientale, a performing arts collective, and in 2021, he founded Det Flyvende Teater (The Flying Theatre) based at Billund Airport, Denmark. Over the past 15 years, he has created and directed more than 30 productions, performing across 30 countries worldwide.
In film and television, he appeared in All the Money in the World, directed by Ridley Scott, alongside Kevin Spacey, Mark Wahlberg, Christopher Plummer, Michelle Williams, and Timothy Hutton. His TV work includes the BBC series Us, with Tom Hollander and Sofie Gråbøl, as well as a role in Michael Mann's Ferrari with Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz. He is also featured in Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints, a new FOX TV series produced by Martin Scorsese.
