Sebastian Ponton Cueva was born in Quito, Ecuador, to Edmundo Ponton, a dentist, and Rita Cueva, a sociologist and ceramist. He is of Colombian, Spanish, Ecuadorian and Italian descent. Sebastian started his artistic life as a painter at the age of four years old winning a National Award on painting. His artistic life moved on to building miniature environments. He graduated with honors with a BFA degree in Computer Animation and VFX from Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador.
