Matthew Lee is a British-Welsh Actor and Animator. He works as a Supporting Artist, Stand-In, and Walk-On Artist on film and television productions.
He was born in Cardiff, South Wales. He trained with Bridgend Youth Theatre for 10 years since 2007. He studied Creative Media Production at Bridgend College and Animation at University of South Wales.
He has a long track record of amateur theatre productions based in Porthcawl, Cardiff and Penarth. He has been able to work with puppetry, in stage productions like Avenue Q (2018) and Into The Woods (2022). He has gained experience as a supporting artist and art department trainee with BBC Cymru Wales, BBC Made in Wales and Netflix.
He won a Best Animation Award at the Zoom Awards 2015 for his first full animation film at Bridgend. He was nominated for the Best Individual Male Performance at the NODA Awards, for his portrayal of Patsy in Hilltop Theatre Company's production of "Monty Python's Spamalot".
