CJ Morrison is an award-winning American actress, screenwriter, and producer. She was born in Boling, Texas to Calvert and Josephine McDaniel, two hard-working individuals who raised six children and put them all through college. Her small-town farming roots instilled a love for animals, gardening, and all of the great outdoors of God's creation. She graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in education and enjoyed a long career as a teacher and high school administrator, during which time she had a variety of opportunities to sharpen her acting chops and perform.
The crux of her entertainment journey started in 2007 with the birth of the musical comedy MINNIE PAUSE & THE HOT FLASHES. This consisted of a hilarious four-woman cast for a musical comedy whose focus was JOY for Life's Journey! After eight years, almost 100 shows, and even the loss of one of the cast members to cancer, they decided it was time to close that show and move on to the next adventure.
That's when CJ began her pursuit of film acting. She found a group called AMTC Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ, and for a year, she traveled to Dallas on weekends for intensive training by industry professionals. At the end of that training, she signed with an agent, and began the auditioning and booking process. In a very short time, she has amassed numerous credits as an actor, producer, writer, and director. She is constantly working, and when she is not, she devotes that time to honing her craft. And the journey continues!
