Khandaker Sumon is a young promising director from Bangladesh. He was born on 2nd February 1982 in the district of Gaibandha. As a worker of "Gaibandha Theatre", which seed of dream of theatre movement had been rooted in the younger boy mind can't ever come out from that persecution in spite of professional business. That boy who belongs the seed of dream inside heart is Khandaker Sumon, the young director. His given name is Khandaker Mohammad Halimuzzaman but he works using the alias Khandaker Sumon.
Computer Engineer Khandaker Sumon often runs towards theatre and film media zone within his professional work. To produce drama and film he has been leading a production house named "Idea Exchange " from many days. In this continuation, with a dreamy young team he has been built an organization for the makers "Motion Vaskor". A few of ad films are made from this organization on social awareness. A number of ad films have been made based on the slogan "Safe City for women".
Khandaker Sumon had worked also on the video about World Cup Football, Cricket and National days. His easy presences are seen in the performance. Experimental film "Winding Road" by new maker Adil Khan, "Nikumvila" by Mahdy Hasan including especial documentary film "Nari" for women day, awareness film on breast cancer "SANATARIUM" by Vicky Zahed in all of these film Sumon is present as performer.
To become a film maker he completed course from " Bangladesh Film Institute (BFI)". The institute is lead by eminent film maker Tanvir Mokammel. Beside this, Khandaker Sumon has involvement in some activities on film including workshop by famous cinematographer Rashed Zaman.
"POUNOPUNIK - The Hamster Wheel Rebellion" is the first short film of Khandaker Sumon. The story touches the people live the story touches the people with uncompromising courage are facing the conventional society full of darkness, their struggle against the wall of unjust, struggling and failing. The story written by Kingshuk Bhattacharjee.
