In 2021, Juliana co-produced a short film called 'The Stepmom' with the writer/co-director/executive producer Keara Barnes and co-director/producer Brenda Whitehall. Following the success of 'The Stepmom', Juliana wrote, executive produced, and starred in her very first screenplay 'Harbour'. It's a short film about a dancer who harbours regret about giving up her dance career too soon, based on Juliana's own experience in finding herself. An emotional roller coaster filled with colour and original music, 'Harbour' has it all: love, friendship, scandal, a princess party, and lots of dancing. Completed at the end of 2023, 'Harbour' is doing its film festival circuit, winning awards around the world.
Juliana joined the producer suite alongside her friend and mentor Brenda Whitehall to help manage post-production for Whitehall's feature-length documentary 'Beyond the Podium: Celebrating Canadian Champions'. With the support of Canada Council for the Arts and Creative BC-Rogers Media, this documentary highlights the accomplishments of Canadian women winter athletes as told by an all-women and non-binary-identifying filmmaking team. It premiered at the Westdale in Hamilton, Ontario and is winning awards on the film festival circuit.
Juliana was also 1st Assistant Director for 'The Stepmom' as well as Charleen Phelps' award-winning film 'Remnants' and Mariam Barry's 'Yaye'.
Juliana is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States.
