Ryan Allen was born in Ballarat, Victoria & has recently been cast in the ABC's Australian teen drama "Itch" (Komixx Entertainment) following on from his debut film appearance in Australian indie sci-fi film "The Dust Walker" (currently in post production).
Filming for "Itch" commenced in Albany, WA on the 12th February 2019.
Ryan grew up moving around both Australia and overseas, due to his father's work. He began fulfilling his love for acting at a young age, in stage plays through community groups and small theatres. With Drama and PE being his strongest subjects throughout schooling years, Ryan went on to continuing his training via various courses at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts; and studying under respected international coaches both in Los Angeles and Western Australia.
Alongside his acting pursuits, Ryan has graduated as a black belt in freestyle Taekwondo, winning medals in several tournaments before taking up Brazilian Jujitsu where he recently received Bronze in the WA State Championships 2018. He very much enjoys the challenges of BJJ & continues to practice & compete to date.
Ryan also frequently finds himself on horseback, having honed his skills with the "Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls" - a world renowned, professional trick riding team specializing in performances for the professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
Ryan works and resides between Perth, Western Australia and London, UK.
