Sandeep Mohan also known as Sandy, is a business owner, entrepreneur, TV/film performer, and model.
Born in the late 1960s in East Africa, he settled in East London, when his father was given a career opportunity in London in the early 1970s.
During his informative years at school, he developed an interest in performing in small local dramas and school plays.
However, his ultimate goal was to pursue a career in science and technology. After he had completed a Bachelor's degree in Manchester and Master's degree in Loughborough, he joined the manufacturing industry. This enabled him to use his knowledge and technical skills to work in the US and the UK, and travel extensively throughout Europe as a trouble-shooter.
During this time, he still had a yearning to be involved as a performer in TV and film.
In 2008, Sandeep was given the opportunity to play a small role in a popular UK TV drama called Eastenders and thereafter other opportunities in TV dramas, His passion was rekindled.
He then left the manufacturing industry after 20 years to pursue business interests, thus allowing him the flexibility to have a larger involvement in TV and film projects.
Apart from appearing in major films, Sandeep has appeared in a number of UK TV dramas and comedies including Eastenders, Silent Witness, Holby City, Law and Order UK, Sherlock, Luther I, Luther II, Luther III, Goodness Gracious Me, Keith Lemon sketch show and the Toast of London.
In addition, he has appeared in major films including Prince of Persia, Skyfall, Spectre, World War Z, Edge of Tomorrow, Burnt, The Program, Guardians of the Galaxy, Wonder Woman, The Hitman's Bodyguard and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 to name a few.
Also as a huge Star Wars fan himself, he had the privilege to appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and also Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
In 2016, Sandeep was given a character as Mr Gopang (the Pharmacy owner) in Eastenders.
He has been involved in both print media and televised campaigns (UK and overseas projects) including Sainsbury Insurance, British Medical Association, The Sun Newspaper, Pepsi India, Sky Sports, Halifax (as well as a number of individual company corporate videos).
His TV and film work led him to undertake modelling assignments which he fully started in in 2014.
Clients have included pharmaceutical companies, corporate clients and more recently TFL (major campaign in 2016 on the London Underground Train and Bus Stations)
He made an appearance in a music video - Britney Spears 'Criminal' in 2011, and a voice-over project for Channel 4 News.
Sandeep can also be seen without his helmet in the 'Behind the Scenes' video of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In fact it was his American cousin based in Portland, Oregon (a die-hard Star Wars fan) who made him aware of the online footage, as it was propelled at the Comic Con 2015 in San Diego, California by Disney and Lucasfilm Ltd.
Sandeep had some very memorable scenes in the Force Awakens including a scene with Max Von Sydow and a scene with a fellow trooper, David Santana, when Kylo Ren has a tantrum - the fans have warmly called them 'The Nope Troopers'.
Since the release of The Force Awakens, Sandeep has contributed to films including Star Wars Rogue One, Wonder Woman and Star Wars The Last Jedi.
Sandeep continues to work on new and exciting projects.
