Actress Erika Sheree Davis was born August 3, 1987 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, to parents Diane Lorraine Hines and Rufus Melvin Davis. When she was 6 months old her family moved to Baltimore, Maryland where her father, Rufus Davis, started a IT Consulting Firm, and her mother (Diane) served as CFO. Davis was educated at The Catholic High School of Baltimore, where she developed a love for performing. She studied Business Marketing at University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and also studied theatre at Santa Monica College.
Davis made her screen debut with an independent project Staged The Series, which she wrote, produced and starred in. The series, based roughly on her life, showcases the contradicting lifestyles and personas of four socialites. Staged received modest distribution but was roundly praised by critics.
Off camera, Davis is known for her commitment to serving under privileged youth and her familial devotion. She has one sister, Danielle Hines, and one Daughter, Kennedy Monroe Carter.
