Amy is a queer, non-binary, Canadian-Ukranian filmmaker and performer. They are the co-founder and owner of Interwoven Films and their work focuses on non-binary, female, and LGBTQI+ stories and they seek to elevate marginalized voices. With a Masters Degree in Environmental Sociology, their narratives often have environmental and social conversations at the heart. As an award-winning actor, Amy's films have been screened at SITGES, TIFF, and the Vancouver Film Festival. As a filmmaker, Amy was selected in 2021 as one of ten emerging Canadian television producers for the RDV Canada: Meet the Series program and they are a 2022 graduate of the Canadian Film Centre Producers Lab. In 2018 Amy was awarded a Telefilm Talent to Watch grant for their digital series, I Hear You, a modern, feminist, medical drama. Amy wrapped production on their first short Documentary I See You in March of 2022 which explores the relationship between femme/non-binary artists and sexual health. Amy has studied screenwriting under some of the leading film and television talent including Michael Melski (The Child Remains), Cynthia Knight (Mohawk Girls), and John Yorke (East Enders).
