Avinash U. Shetty is a writer and filmmaker who is known for his work in Kannada Film Industry. Originally from Mangalore, Avinash started his career in 2014 and produced a Kannada Film called "HARIVU".
The film Won the National Film Award for the Best Regional Film-Kannada in 2014 awarded by hon'ble President of India Pranab Mukherjee and The Karnataka State Film Award as the best film of the year 2014 awarded by hon'ble Chief Minister Siddharamaih
He also recently won the Karnataka State Award for Best Film of the year 2018 for his Film "Aa Karaala Ratri"
From early on, he had a dream of making a film in his native language i.e Tulu, which he tweeted "Pingara". The Film Won the National Film Award in 2020 as The Best Tulu Film at 67th NAtional film Awards awarded by Hon'ble Vice President Venkaiah Naidu
In 2022 recently he made two films I.e "Masanada Hoovu" in kannada and "Devara Kaadu" in Kodava Language, both the films made its ways to the Bangalore International Film Festival and won Awards for both the Films
"Masanada Hoovu" won the Special Jury Award And "Devara Kaadu" won the 3rd Best Film of the Year and was awarded by the Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka Thawar Chand Gehlot
He always stood forward in encouraging New talented Directors and Technicians who have an urge to step into the film industry, He usually show a lot of interest in content oriented artistic films.
