Shannon Kealey is a stage, screen, and voice actor, a singer/songwriter, and band leader. Her roots are in musical theatre, and she is trained in the Meisner acting technique. She sings in classical, legit and contemporary musical theatre, rock, pop, folk, and jazz styles, and leads an SF Bay Area-based folk-rock/Americana band. She was born in North Hollywood, California, came of age in the San Francisco Bay Area, and spent her early adulthood in New York City. She is also a cyborg and diabetes advocate: she has had type 1 diabetes since the age of 11 and wears an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor 24/7.
