Born in Lancashire of Irish descent, brought up on a farm. A member of the National Youth Theatre and Manchester indie scene,
he studied performance at Bretton Hall before Tony Wilson signed To Hell With Burgundy to Factory Records in Manchester and they toured the the world. Karl Walsh spent time in Brittany France writing music and then novels and screen plays before founding a record label Earliest Records. Now performing as Karl Walsh & The Happy Future. He has a law degree from Manchester M.U. Karl has written three novels including The Rat King, now a screen play, and 5 award winning short films as well as his first feature film for Bee Movies 'All Crazy Random'.
