Stewart David Hawthorne was born and raised in Belfast, N.Ireland before moving to Edinburgh in Scotland to study at University. After a brief stint in Sport & Exercise Science at Herriot-Watt University, he gravitated back to the arts to study for a degree in Film & Media at Queen Margaret University. It was there he began to act.
Whilst living in Edinburgh he found work in the Theatre & in Arts Press; most notably at the famed Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It was during this time his passion for the craft developed. He then moved back home to Belfast, where he began working as an Assistant Director in N.Ireland's Film & Television industries on productions such as HBO's 'Game of Thrones' gaining valuable knowledge before leaving to pursue acting on a permanent basis.
Next came a move to Dublin to train at Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting and has since been working consistently in Theatre & Film.
After performing in the theatre production of 'Mind Games'; touring the East coast of the United States as the leading-male role of 'Art', he is now based between Belfast, N.Ireland and Vancouver, Canada.
He was one of the 10 actors selected for Filmbase Ireland's 'Close Up': Professional Actor's Talent Development scheme in 2017 before it's closure in 2018.
