Christina-Kallirroi Garbi

Christina-Kallirroi Garbi wrote and directed in 2020 her first short fiction film ''Now that Spring is Here'', which premiered at the competitive section of VIENNA SHORTS 2021 and won the Audience Award at Feel the Reel International Film Festival in Glasgow. The film received various awards, nominations and official selections in many other film festivals across the world. In 2022 she completed her second short fiction film ''Poppies and Ducks''. The film premiered at the competitive section of Trieste Film Festival 2023 and won the Grand Prize at Jeonju International Short Film Festival and the Cinematic Clubs's Greek Federation Prize at Chania Film Festival. ''Poppies and Ducks'' were nominated for BEST FICTION FILM at the Academy Award® Qualifying film festival IN THE PALACE. The film continues its festival run receiving warm acceptance worldwide. She is developing her next short fiction film ''Kamikazi'', in collaboration with Byrd Production Company (Greece) and NAOKO Films (Belgium). ''Kamikazi'' won the Special Mention at Interfilm's Script Pitch 2023 in Berlin and is already developed at the Filmer Forge Pitch at IN THE PALACE Film Festival in Sofia.
