Trivon Xavier Howard
- Actor
Trivon Howard, was born in Atlanta Georgia, where he pursued his dreams as an athlete and artist. Before his acting career, Trivon received a Bachelors degree in Studio Art from Claflin University - an HBCU in Orangeburg, South Carolina; and went on the play semi-pro baseball after college. When he decided to hang up his cleats in 2011, the creative side of Trivon kicked in and he hasn't looked back.
While taking acting classes, Trivon appeared as a featured extra in Jackie Robinson's biopic "42", starring Chadwick Boseman and Harrison Ford. Trivon learned so much from the "42" experience, and saw first-hand how his background as an athlete can work with acting. In 2012, he performed in the classic stage production, "Our Town", which opened the door for other theater productions, including his role as George Bailey in "Its A Wonderful Life"; Massa Williams in "Blood Water"; and, his most challenging role to-date, Muslim minister and civil rights activist, Malcolm X in "The Meeting", a playwright by Jeff Stetson.
He made his television debut on the CW's Gotham Knights and has starred in several independent films, including "Tremble", "Yogurt Raisin", and "Jones Plantation".
He could be seen in commercials for Chick-fil-A, Home Depot, and Duke Energy.
In honor of the late Taurean Blacque, Trivon was selected as the recipient of the 2023 Taurean Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor, for his role as Booster in August Wilson's "Jitney".
Like others in the industry, Trivon believes that he has so much to give, and what sets him apart is his ability to bring a vision to life.
