Musrepova Anara, birth name, artistic pseudonym Anarelle Mus, registered by the French Authors' Society (SACEM) in 2000. Born in Kazakhstan, in the city of Almaty, in a family of musicians, musical impresarios. Father, Yerkebulan Musrep (died in 2021) was the general director of the Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after Kurmangazy for more than 30 years. Mother, Meruert Musrepova (died in 1994), a choral conductor by profession, worked as vice-president of the Union of Musical Figures of Kazakhstan for the last 10 years.
Anara has a master's degree in composer and professor at the Kurmangazy Almaty National Conservatory, the diploma is confirmed by the French and European Commission on Education. Anara has about 100 works on her account: solos, duets, trio, quintets, for chamber, symphony orchestras, folk instrument orchestras, as well as many original soundtracks for films.
Since 2000, she began to travel to Paris for internships, courses: electronic music producer (SAE Paris), film producer (ESEC Paris).
She shot her first short film at the Higher Paris Film School. As a producer and director, Anara has made 6 short independent films, one full-length documentary and music videos. As an executive producer, she worked on a feature film with 8 Hollywood actors.
She wrote 8 scripts, 7 of them were filmed.
Anara permanently moved to France in 2013, lived in Paris until December 2018, then moved to Cannes, where she founded the Silk Road Production Association in 2019, which operates two independent film festivals also founded by Anara:
The Cannes 7th Art Awards (formerly Cannes International Independent Film Festival - CIIFF), which is successfully held at Cannes Municipal Cinema Espace Miramar and the Silk Road Film Awards Cannes, a monthly competition that awards laurels, certificates, trophies and 10-40 award winners every year officially become the nominees for the main festival C7AA, which takes place in Espace Miramar
Anara is also the Director of the State Pavilion of Kazakhstan at the Marché du Film of the Cannes Festival (2019,2023).
