Sheridan (AKA Stuart) was born in the British Military Hospital Munster in 1971. His father, Brian, left the Army by the time he was 3 years old & they settled in their home town of Derby, UK.
The family lived in a council house in Sinfin until he was aged 9, when they bought a property in Chellaston, meaning a change of school. He had a passion for drama & appeared in the school plays, but was unable to take this any further academically as the subject was not available to him in the very first year of GCSE's.
At age 14, his parents got divorced & he lived with his mother, Lynda in a shard ownership property in Alvaston until joining the Royal Navy in March 1989; following in his Granddad's steps.
He served aboard HMS Sheffield for 2 1/2 years before spending the rest of his Naval Career shore-based at HMS St Vincent in London.
Knowing he was going to be Medically Discharged with bad knees in November 1996, he studied & qualified in Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy for his resettlement. He worked part-time in private practice for 13 years and wrote a Self-Help book for sufferers of PTSD before deciding on another career change.
Between 2008 & 2010, he began working on a Mentalism act & had begun performing under the name Nick Knight, but had to take time out following a back injury & a hernia operation.
In 2011 he helped his cousin on some amateur productions, which rekindled his interest in the performing arts & assumed the new stage name Sheridan Sinclair. He then enrolled with Derby Academy of Acting before joining the Derby Shakespeare Theatre Company; his first role playing Pistol in Henry VI Part II.
The intention was to build a Production Company, 'Mass Distortion Productions' after the completion of Allan's web-series 'Waterside Season 1'. However, between 2012 & December 2014 different team members came & went until it was obvious that MDP was dead in the water.
In November 2014, Stuart enrolled on a Film MA course with Raindance Film Festival/Staffordshire University to develop his directing abilities & will qualify in January 2017.
The first production he wrote, directed & produced was the Pilot Episode of the amateur fan made web-series Hitman: Vengeance (2014) (V)_.
He has since collaborated on a number of short films, appeared in a couple of web-series, & will be directing an adaptation of an H.P. Lovecraft shorty story in late 2016.
In 2014 he produced & directed his first full length feature, Remain Humane (2018).
In December 2015, Sheridan appeared as Scrooge in a 3 person performance of Dickens' A Christmas Carol'.
He aims to continue working in the performing arts both in front & behind the camera, as well as on stage using the name Sheridan purely for acting roles.
