WHO IS RASHAD? A prominent star basketball player at Hattiesburg High School, Rashad Smith was a self-taught musician known as the "singing baller" and self-taught power house musician. His ambition to work hard, entertain and succeed is the driving force behind the journey of this versatile performer. Today, he has evolved into an experienced vocal artist, writer, dancer, producer and entertainer. He has soundly produced two albums: I Never Thought in June 2006 and Multi-Talented released in January 2017. His love for different genres of music and the rise above the conflicts of urban life make him one the south's top young lyricists. Like a chameleon there is no genre that he cannot take on from soft and sultry ballads, to high energy pop and even gritty, down-home blues. He has graced stages demanding attention either with his smooth sensual tones, his energetic stage presence and his charming debonair appearance. Smith simply creates magic on stage from his attractive looks and addictive smile. But this young artist's ability to sing, dance and play instruments like second nature, always leaves the people always wanting more. He is definitely a crowd pleaser. Behind the scenes, there is even more. Smith's constant desire to produce and write music that tell true life stories in a phenomenal way, keeps fellow artists, promoters and loyal fans coming back. He has shared the spotlight with industry veterans such as David Banner, Keith Sweat, B2K, Omarion, Jesse McCartney, Bow Wow, and K-Ci and JoJo and he credits "making good music" to artists such as Tank, Usher, The Underdogs, and Prince. Rashad Smith has been awarded for video of the year and single of the year for his single "Questions" from the album Multi-Talented.
