How Did P-Valley Season 2 End?

Colombo, Dec 19 (Ians) Kandy Falcons beat Dambulla Aura by 39 runs in the second match at the R Premadasa Stadium in the ongoing Lanka Premier League 2022. Batting first, Kandy Falcons posted a total of 160 for the loss of 7 wickets.

Chasing down the target, for Dambulla Aura, Jordan Cox and Shevon Daniels opened the innings. The team didn’t get off to the start they were looking as they were struggling 5/41 in 7.2 overs. Sikandar Raza was the highest scorer with 45 runs from 33 balls, which included 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. Dilum Sudeera contributed with 21 runs towards the end of the innings.

For Kandy Falcons, Oshane Thomas was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 3/15 from his 4 overs. Fabian Allen and Chamindu Wijesinghe took 2 wickets each. Meanwhile, Zahoor Khan and Wanindu Hasaranga took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Kandy Falcons elected to bat first. For Kandy Falcons, Kavin Bandara and Minod Bhanuka opened the innings.

Colombo, Dec 17 (Ians) Dambulla Aura beat Galle Gladiators by 48 runs at the R Premadasa Stadium, here on Saturday, in the ongoing Lanka Premier League 2022.

Batting first, Dambulla Aura posted a competitive total of 178 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

Chasing down the target, for Galle Gladiators, Thanuka Dabare and Captain Kusal Mendis opened the innings. The team didn’t get to a good start as Kusal Mendis was dismissed by Dasun Shanaka for a duck. Shortly after that, Thanuka was sent back to the pavilion by Pramod Madushan. Lahiru Udara and Asad Shafiq then put up a 41-run partnership to give the chase stability. But Dambulla Aura’s bowlers hit back strong as they kept taking wickets at regular intervals to bowl them out for 130. Lahiru was the team’s highest scorer with 32, while Asad pitched in with 28 and Iftikhar Ahmed made 21.

Kandy (Sri Lanka), Dec 12 (Ians) Defending champions Jaffna Kings beat Dambulla Aura by 51 runs in a Lanka Premier League (Lpl) 2022 match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, here on Sunday.

Batting first, the Jaffna Kings posted a mammoth total of 240 for the loss of four wickets. In reply, Shevon Daniel and Jordan Cox opened the innings for Dambulla Aura. However, Jordan was sent back to the pavilion by Binura Fernando for 5 runs.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Shevon put up a 24-run partnership before Shevon was dismissed by Binura Fernando. Bhanuka made 38 runs from 31 balls, which included 5 boundaries.

Toward the end of the innings, captain Dasun Shanaka made a quickfire 44 from 23 balls. His innings was laced with four boundaries and three sixes. Ravindu Fernando was unbeaten at 19 from 13 balls. Dambulla Aura fell short of the target by 51 runs.

Starz has officially confirmed that P-Valley will be returning for a third season. The renewal announcement was expected given the series’ incredibly popularity and the fact it ranks as Starz’s most popular show in the United States.

Season two, which premiered in June 2022, increased the show’s viewership by 23 over season one. The second season averaged 10.3 million viewers, enough to earn it the title of Starz’s “biggest show.”

Created by Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall, season two starred Nicco Annan (“Uncle Clifford”), Elarica Johnson (“Autumn Night”), Brandee Evans (“Mercedes”), Shannon Thornton (“Miss Mississippi”), J. “P-Valley” has been renewed for a third season consisting of 10 episodes at Starz. The critically acclaimed strip club-set drama is currently the cable network’s biggest show in the U.S.

The sophomore season of “P-Valley” — created and executive produced by Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall — averages nearly 10.3 million viewers across linear, VOD and streaming platforms domestically, the network reported.

“‘P-Valley’ continues to keep viewers on the edge of their seats as it captures the nuances of the Mississippi Delta with an unprecedented level of humanity and artistry,” said Kathryn Busby, president of original programming at Starz, in a statement. “This layered drama gets beyond the glitz through authentic and complex characters that have captured the hearts of critics and audiences alike. Like Season 2 of the Lionsgate-produced drama series, the third season will consist of 10 episodes. Season 2 of the show debuted on Starz in June and wrapped up in August.

Abu Dhabi, Sep 29 (Ians) Delhi Bulls have added bite and guile to their bowling line-up by bringing on board off-spin great Harbhajan Singh ahead of season six of the Abu Dhabi T10 competition.

Harbhajan, who made his international debut in 1998, has won the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 Odi World Cup with India in a career that has spanned over two decades. London, Sep 7 (Ians) Opening batter Alex Hales on Thursday was called up to England’s squad for the Icc Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia as a replacement for in-form batter Jonny Bairstow. Hales, 33, has also been added to England’s squad for the seven T20Is tour of Pakistan.

It also means that Hales’s three-year exile from international cricket, after last representing England in March 2019, is over. He had a failed recreational drugs test and was removed from the 2019 Odi World Cup, which England won at home.
