Peter Hackman grew up in Indiana and as a lifelong soundtrack admirer, he had his heart set for living and working in Los Angeles. His love of composers and film & TV music led Peter to start The Fans Of Film Music Society in 2010. He's had over 90 of the best film/TV/game composers to ever work in the industry attend his event.
Upon arrival in Los Angeles, he worked at famed soundtrack label Varèse Sarabande Records for several years in a variety of roles including soundtrack producer. Then he ventured into composer management at Bohemia Group Management. Peter has followed in the footsteps of his mentor composer agent Richard Kraft (Kraft Engel Management); Varése Sarabande Records then composer representation. Mr. Hackman also helps out at famed soundtrack label, Notefornote Music, in his off time.
Being married to an active film/TV/game composer Edwin Wendler, having a deep appreciation for the art of composing, gives Peter an edge to understanding not just the business side of our film scoring industry, but the personal side too. Fighting for his clients every day is at his core. Peter is the CEO/Founder of Different Direction Management based in Los Angeles.
