Jo is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, with a Masters in Producing (Film & TV) in 2014. During her time at VCA, she produced three short films, one of which, 'The Guard' directed by Noora Niasari, was accepted into several short film festivals. After graduating, Jo continued her passion for independent filmmaking by production managing the Australian historical feature film 'The Legend of Ben Hall' directed by Matthew Holmes, released in 2016.
In 2015, Jo immigrated to Vancouver, B.C. and started working as a Production Assistant on various Cable & Network TV shows such as "Supernatural", "DC's Legends of Tomorrow", "The Flash", and "The Magicians", as well as feature films like "Death Note" (2017), "Skyscraper" (2018), and "Needle in a Timestack" (2021).
She has written three shorts for the Vancouver-based 48hr 'Run and Gun' film competition. Her 2019 film, "Lost of Loop" made it to the finals, was nominated for Editing and won Best Male Actor.
She has worked as an assistant production office coordinator on various shows, including "The Terror: Infamy" (2018), "Schmigadoon" (2021), "Resident Alien" (2021) and Yellowjackets (2024).
Most recently, she assisted producer, Erin Smith, on the Emmy award-winning show "Shogun" starring Hiroyuki Sanada.
She continues to write and produce independent films.
