Marie Press(I)

Marie was born in Prague, Czech Republic. She lived in Cimelice Castle, which was a Film School at the time, and through that influence she developed a passion for camera and film. Due to political reasons she was unable to study film in the Czech Republic and came to Australia as a refugee. She studied Health Science and enjoyed a successful career as a Nurse, Lecturer at Flinders University and as a manager at multiple Schools of Nursing in Adelaide. In 2012 she has decided to follow her dream and studied Film at MAPS school in Adelaide, with a major in Production and Camera. Marie's management experience, people skills, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines matched the skills of a Producer. She is an active, full-credited member of SPA-Screen Producers Australia. Marie is the owner of Hairy Fish Film Productions. Apart from award winning productions she has produced several short films, music videos and documentaries.
