Giovanni Castiglione
- Actor
Born May 29, 2002 and raised in Solon, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland,
Giovanni Castiglione discovered his passion for entertaining at a young
age. His love of acting was cultivated in local community theater in
Cleveland where he's enjoyed a wide variety of roles in both musical
and dramatic stage productions. In three short years his credits
include ten live theater productions, six films and numerous live vocal
performances. His transition into film acting was a seamless one,
drawing the attention of producers and casting directors who saw him on
stage and encouraged him to step in front of the camera. He began
working as a background actor (The Deprogrammer, Miss Meadows and
Colony 52) and moved into supporting and lead roles in a short period
of time. His first two major roles, "Alex" in The Leap of Sam Wolf
(produced and directed by Skye Wallin) and "Mitchell" in Between the
Cracks (produced and directed by Darryl Epp) dealt with the topic of
bullying from two different perspectives. As Alex, he was the
aggressive bully, driving the target of his abuse to retreat to a
mental fantasy world for comfort. On the other end of the spectrum,
Mitchell was the victim and Castiglione drew audiences to sympathize
with his plight as the target. Landing comedic roles early in his
theater career, Castiglione has begun showing his acting range and
potential with emotionally-charged dramatic performances. His first
feature length film, Cleanland, is slated for release in March 2014. He
plays the role of Georgio Delgado, the middle son of Detective Frank
Delgado (portrayed by father, Denny Castiglione) in this action drama
produced by MAD Vista Productions.
