"Born a poor Black child", Henry S Brown, Jr. beamed down into the middle of the 1960s to that strange planet known as Seattle.
Exposed to repeats of "The Twilight Zone" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show" as well as the iconic then-new shows like "Star Trek" and "The Carol Burnett Show", Henry became fascinated by TV production. And boy, did he watch a lot of it!
With the passage of time and a series of library and various office support jobs, Henry's desire to write for TV and films was fully activated. Henry began placing in, and sometimes winning, screenwriting competitions like: * the 2019 Hollywood Screenplay Contest (Winner: Thriller Category, "Yusef Christ"), * the 2023 Hollywood Just4Shorts Film and Screenplay Competition (Winner: Best TV/Webisode Screenplay, "The Education of Carol and Michael Brady"), and * the 2023 Golden Thesis Film Festival (Winner: Best Screenplay, "Awkward!") * the 2024 Seattle Film Summit Script Competition (Winner: Best Series Pilot, "The Black Knight!")
Having completed his Bachelor's degree with Honors in October 2023 from Los Angeles Film School, Henry's screenwriting skills have grown to include works in multiple genres for shorts, series, and feature films.
Living in Seattle with his family and his cats, Henry continues to write compelling, entertaining stories for the screen, be they TV-sized or theater-sized.
