Clebia Sousa

Clébia Sousa was born in Limoeiro, a rural town in the state of Pernambuco, where she spent her childhood and teenage years. She is the daughter of Maria José de Sousa Silva and José Amaro da Silva, and has an older brother, Cleiton. Her mother was a hairdresser for many years, working to support her children. Her father, who graduated in Mathematics, was a teacher and a police officer. Until the fourth grade, Clébia studied at the Cecília Meireles school. In elementary and high school, she was a student at the Cônego Fernando Passos school, where she had her first contact with the performing arts. Still in Limoeiro, she was part of the Lionarte de Teatro group.. In 2009, at the age of 19, she moved to Recife, capital of the State, to study Artistic Expression and Performing Arts, at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). She participated in two auditions for "O Som ao Redor", the first feature film by filmmaker Kleber Mendonça Filho and was selected. In the film, she played Luciene. She has starred in more than twenty film productions.
